Kitchen Designer - In-Home Sales

Art of Drawers Salt Lake is hiring three Kitchen Designers for flexible, part-time in-home sales work.

You will meet homeowners in their kitchens, measure the space, learn how the family cooks and lives, then design two or three custom pull-out drawer and storage solutions and present pricing in the home.

This is a commission-only 1099 independent-contractor opportunity. There is no base salary or hourly wage. Your schedule is flexible, and your income is tied to the jobs you sell. No design degree is required.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home design consultations.
- Measure existing cabinets accurately.
- Present practical storage solutions and pricing.
- Follow the Art of Drawers sales and design process.
- Manage your calendar, client follow-up, and pipeline.
- Build a referral network.
- Complete certification and five practice appointments before receiving paid company leads.
- Coordinate clean handoffs to certified installers. Designers do not install.

Qualifications:
- Comfortable entering customers’ homes and leading consultative conversations.
- Curious, question-led, and able to listen before presenting.
- Comfortable discussing price and working on commission.
- Self-directed and willing to create initial appointments from your own network.
- Detail-oriented and able to measure accurately.
- Reliable transportation, phone, computer, and printer.
- Willing to use a proven script and process.
- Design, sales, real estate, retail, restaurant, or home-improvement experience is helpful but not required.
